Lesson 13: How Much Solute Dissolves in a Solvent?
Key Terms
2
Solubility The amount of solute that will dissolve in a solvent at a given temperature and pressure.
3
A solution that contains as much of the solute as can be dissolved.
Saturated A solution that contains as much of the solute as can be dissolved.
4
A solution that contains less solute than can be dissolved.
Unsaturated A solution that contains less solute than can be dissolved.
5
A solution that contains more solute than could normally be dissolved.
Supersaturated A solution that contains more solute than could normally be dissolved.
