The Problem Software It’s not clear when, why, which software components are added, changed or removed It’s not clear whether or not the various Baan environments (development, test, production) –possibly running on different servers- are ‘in-line’ System info It’s not clear how the Baan system is configured, how the Baan system ‘works’ Note: To clarify the situation a ‘snapshot’ has to be made Making a ‘snapshot’ of the software & system situation requires the hiring of –rather expensive- Baan consultants This hiring is ‘recurring’; the ‘snapshot’ should be refreshed periodically 18 september 2018 Baan4U - Monitoring Software & Systeminfo

The Solution: Baan4U Baan4U has been developed to solve this problem for all versions of the Baan/Infor software (BaanIV, ERP-LN, …), all operating systems (Unix, Windows, …) and all databases (Oracle, MS/SQL, …) The software situation will be analyzed by a query in Baan; info will be written to the import directory of Baan4U Open Baan4U & start ‘Import StandardDD’ in the Utilities form Only the most recent file will be imported; older files will be deleted The system situation will be analyzed by a query in Baan; info will be written to the import directory of Baan4U Open Baan4U & start ‘Import SystemInfo’ in the Utilities form 18 september 2018 Baan4U - Monitoring Software & Systeminfo
