D Thank you [Contact name]. As mentioned, Office 2007 will reach the end of its 10-year lifecycle on October 10, Once support for Office 2007 officially ends, there are risks to take note of should your teams continue to use it: Firstly, performance and security fixes for Office 2007 will no longer be deployed – which might leave your IT infrastructure vulnerable to potential security risks. Potential service interruptions and reduced functionality could also occur when integrating with modern versions of Office servers and Office 365 services. There might also be compliance issues with regulations or legislation, and reduced support from OEMs and 3rd party providers of software and services that longer support products related to out-of-support Office clients and servers. E To avoid these challenges, we recommend upgrading to Office 365 which will better help your organization meet the demands of today’s global marketplace. Would you like to know how your business can benefit from Office 365?

Exchange 2007 EOL (including as it’s so closely aligned with Office 2007) The end of extended support for Exchange 2007 is April 11, 2017. Exchange 2007 introduced a number of new technologies and features to our customers, including the release of CCR, LCR and SCR, which provided the foundation for the Database availability groups (DAGs), relied upon since Exchange Server 2010. Exchange Server 2007 also marked the start of the transition to building Exchange Server on the .Net Framework. Microsoft has continued that investment and .Net Framework is now the foundation of all critical Exchange processes in Exchange 2013, Exchange 2016 and Office 365. Exchange PowerShell, also new to Exchange 2007, is even more prevalent in current versions of Exchange and is the de facto management tool for modern Exchange Servers. We now have the opportunity to move customers to Exchange Online and drive O365 adoption through our world-class service. Because the end of extended support for Exchange 2007 is almost six months prior to the date set for Office client, including Outlook, we need to work closely with customers on this legacy product to move them towards a modern solution. Recommended Steps for Customers Using these Products Microsoft recommends that customers migrate to current product versions prior to the support end dates. This enables customers to take advantage of the latest product innovations and ensure uninterrupted support from Microsoft.
