9 CRE Highlights CRE News – Considerable discussion on making some RP’s and Standards ANSI documents. Some believe this will lend more credibility to using the standards outside of the U.S. If made ANSI there are requirements for inviting outside involvement, additional tracking by API staff, ANSI audits. To be ANSI must have a regulatory or safety impact. If more than one standards group has a similar document only one can be an ANSI standard, if more than one the desire is to use the API standard as the ANSI standard.
