Please come in, find your child’s desk, complete the student quiz, and fill out the half sheet student information form Miss Davis Room 38

2 Teacher Introduction Third Grade Team:
Master’s Degree in Education from Pepperdine, with my emphasis focused in Psychology. I have been working with the SMUSD for four years. 4 Classroom Management I firmly believe in creating a positive atmosphere for learning. It is my goal to prevent discipline problems whenever possible by reinforcing positive behavior. In addition, I have consequences for students who disrupt the classroom or choose to not following the rules and procedures. Classroom Rules: Students are expected to follow these rules: Be Responsible; Do your best work Be Safe; Respect your school Be Respectful; Help others succeed Rewards: I promote positive behavior with verbal or written praise, stickers, high fives, Dolphin Behavior tickets, table points, and other special privileges . Students who demonstrate excellent behavior can earn “bonuses” in our Classroom Economy and use their Davis Dough to “buy” special privileges and rewards. Consequences: First Occurrence: Verbal warning Second Occurrence: Visual Warning x2 Third Occurrence: Sign Behavior Book. Time-out in Buddy Class or in Responsibility Room at lunch. Fill out Student Reflection Sheet and send home for parent signature. Severe Clause: Office referral

5 Teacher Communication
If you need to get in touch with me about something urgent during the day, it is best to call the office. If it is something I need to know for that particular day, just send a note with your child. Otherwise, is the best way to get in touch with me. I check my daily. Also, a great way to stay up to date on important messages/events/last minute reminders is to receive text messages straight from ME using the Remind App!
