My answer is 1640 feet. I used a vertical number line. I graphed a point for feet and another point for I subtracted the integers to determine they were 1640 units apart.

The problem says “how much deeper” so I knew that was a keyword for subtraction. I subtracted -330 – (-1970), but I had to use the additive inverse and it was The signs were different, so I subtracted and took the sign of the number with the larger absolute value and my final answer is The Pilot Whale dives 1640 feet more than the Dall’s Porpoise.
