Activation of NK cells during the early stage of allergic and fibrotic lung inflammation. Absolute numbers of lymphocyte populations, including T cell subsets, Th1 cells (IFN-γ+ CD4+ T cells), Th17 cells (IL-17A+ CD4+ T cells), and regulatory T cells (Foxp3+ CD4+ T cells), per gram of lung tissue during the early stage of papain-induced (A–C and E) or bleomycin-induced (A, B, D, and F) lung inflammation.
