New or renewal OVS-ES customers can purchase Office 365 ProPlus as an Enterprise Online Service instead of Office on-premises to meet their org-wide licensing requirement.
OVS-ES (Org-wide) or OVS-ES mid-term customers can continue to purchase Office 365 ProPlus as an Additional Product, with full USL or Add-on SKUs.
Most renewing OVS-ES customers with on-premises Office Professional Plus have 180 days to uninstall existing client software and deploy Office 365 ProPlus.

Office 365 Q&A
Will this change allow Office Professional Plus on-premises SA customers to transition to Office 365 ProPlus during their current agreement?
Microsoft is working on enabling additional transition flexibility for existing OVS-ES Org-wide Office ProPlus SA customers at agreement anniversaries, and will make an announcement with additional details when this is available.
Will paid Office 365 ProPlus user subscription licenses (USLs) satisfy the requirements for organization-wide licensing coverage?
Yes. Organization-wide coverage of Qualified Users satisfies organization-wide licensing requirements for Qualified Desktops.
What if I need to add an additional Office 365 ProPlus license during the middle of an agreement year?
Customers will need to add and pay for additional Office 365 ProPlus USLs as required, and renew all USLs on the anniversary order.
Can an OVS-ES customer decrease the number of Office 365 ProPlus USLs on their anniversary order?
Yes, a customer may order as many USLs as necessary at anniversary, but the quantity ordered cannot fall below the program minimum of 5 USLs.
Will my Office 365 ProPlus subscription end when my OVS-ES Org-wide agreement expires?
Not necessarily. The Office 365 ProPlus subscription end date may not exactly match the OVS-ES Org-wide expiration date due to the potential purchase of additional USLs over the duration of the agreement. In these cases, the Office 365 ProPlus subscription end date could be later than the OVS-ES Org-wide agreement end date.
Can a customer satisfy the organization-wide licensing requirement with a combination of Office 365 ProPlus USLs and Office Professional Plus licenses?
No, customers may elect either Office 365 ProPlus USLs or Office Professional Plus, but cannot use a combination of both to meet the organization-wide requirement.
