9 Implementation of Robust Paperless Paint Panel: SP&C – 2016
PROJECT INFORMATION OBJECTIVE Prime/Lead: BAE Systems Southeast Shipyard Team Members: TruQC, Elzly Technologies, HII-Ingalls, NASSCO, IMIA LLC, Surface Technologies Corporation Duration: 12 Months Implement the existing technology by working with SupShip, NAVSEA, RMCs, prime, 2nd and 3rd tier contractors in their ports, providing hardware and hands on training. Followed by a shipboard pilot program where the legacy (paper) system is measured against Papaerless QA system. DELIVERABLES/BENEFITS/ROI Delivered a true paperless QA system to the US Navy and NSRP shipbuilding and repair Yards Update paperless QA software to FY Timely identification if issues Reduce QA costs Outcome – Phase I & II: Populate documentation Auto flag “Out of Spec” (OOS) conditions Deliver check-point notification Start non-conformance process Ensure resolution prior to production Deliver documentation to government in both electronic and paper format A true “paperless” QA system

10 Boomlift Carried Environmental Enclosure (BCEE) Panel: SP&C & Environmental – 2016
PROJECT INFORMATION OBJECTIVE Prime/Lead: BAE Systems Southeast Shipyard Team Members: Norx LLC, Elzly Technology, BAE Systems Norfolk Duration: 12 Months Complete evaluation of the Boomlift Carried Environmental Enclosure (BCEE). The team will train employees on the installation and operational procedures of the BCEE. Complete time studies comparing open air spray against the capture device. Complete cost evaluation of the BCEE vs containment costs. DELIVERABLES/BENEFITS/ROI Proof of concept/implementation in Shipyards Working units available for operational use Summary report

11 Partial Blast of UHS Coated Tanks – Phase II Panel: SP&C – 2017
PROJECT INFORMATION OBJECTIVE Prime/Lead: Elzly Technology Corp. Team Members: BAE Systems Southeast Shipyards Duration: 12 Months This project would continue to develop the partial blast concept for use on surface ships. Objectives include quantifying the performance risk based on condition assessments, performing additional demonstrations, and maintaining the Navy-industry working group meetings. DELIVERABLES/BENEFITS/ROI Develop specification language suitable to incorporate into NSI Develop recommended planning guidance for Navy consideration NAVSEA 05 TWH involvement – continue to develop and define the process

12 Retention of Type VI Epoxy under UHS Epoxy Panel: SP&C – 2017
2017 PROJECT INFORMATION OBJECTIVE Prime/Lead: HII-Ingalls Shipbuilding Team Members: Elzly Technology, Bath Iron Works (BIW) Duration: 12 months Units requiring UHS coatings are often left with only preconstruction primer until the unit is erected to prevent damage to expensive UHS coating systems. This project will develop the data needed to request Navy approval to apply UHS epoxy over Type VI epoxy primer in critical coated areas. DELIVERABLES/BENEFITS/ROI FINANCIAL Reduces cost of repairing 1st coat of primer Improves feasibility of new-build yards applying single-coat UHS coating systems Provides full and continuous UHS coats Move the Shipyards toward the goal of economical common paint system Program Funds: < $150K Cost Share: None

18 “You, the Coatings Community, are the SMEs
“You, the Coatings Community, are the SMEs. You owe it to yourselves, your Shipyards, and your Companies to stay aware of and understand current and proposed requirements. Don’t allow someone else to determine your fate or the fate of your Company without your input”. “The work isn’t completed until the ship is painted and the coating system is documented; preferably paperless”. “Together, let’s paint a picture that allows us, the Coatings Community, to be successful!!!” “Q”
