5. WHAT WILL IT MEAN TO BE ON AN ACADEMY TEAM?
High school sports
No conflict with middle and high school soccer season
Winter season, other sports participation is possible
Coaches should be notified of participation, consider winter tournament schedule
Competitive Futsal is highly recommended, but not required
Manageable due to limited required time outside of Futsal
Spring Season
School sports participation needs to be clarified with coaching prior to tryouts
No one should expect to be gone frequently from team training sessions
Summer Season : no other team participation
Soccer Registration
no release for other soccer club registration during entire year of participation
NO exceptions without coaching and board approval

April Iowa rush City Champions (up to U16 only)
May NSC Spring Cup, Blaine, MN
Three (4 for U17 or up) others to be determined by Humberto/Angelo
Late July - USA Cup week, Blaine, MN

7. 2017-2018 PROGRAM COST Scholarships Tryouts $25.00
covering cost of coaches who are judging and fields
applied toward tuition if on team

8. Academy Gear
All Academy Team members will be expected to have and wear the required Academy Gear. This will include:

These items are included as part of the Academy Team registration cost for

14. COMPETITIVE FUTSAL
Two nights per week training plus scrimmages on Friday night Field House)
Academy players without Winter Sport commitments are recommended to participate in Competitive Futsal as this will be primary foot skill development for Academy players.
If new to futsal, check out for some background on the sport. You can also find videos of futsal competitions on YouTube as well. Note that futsal is the only FIFA-sanctioned indoor soccer format and a world cup is held every 4 years in this sport.
There are tournaments held in Minnesota and surrounding states during the Winter and this is another option for Academy players in addition to the planned tournaments.
