Fundraising Reports Perhaps you could run your own assembly?
Begin the meeting by celebrating the school’s fundraising success with reports from each Champion's class representative. Now, get ready for the important job of preparing the school's Celebration of Champions. This will not only celebrate the fundraising carried out by children, for children at your school, but also in schools across the UK. Perhaps you could run your own assembly?

Pupil Sheet – Celebration of Champions
So, you are preparing for the Celebration of Champions! That’s a big task, but Champions like you should have no problem coming up with awesome ideas that will make your assembly something to remember. You could... Entertain them! How about a song or dance routine, or a comedy sketch? You could always tell a good old-fashioned joke! Whatever you do, make sure you dress-up to do it! (add your own ideas) Include them! Ask members of the audience in your assembly to join in. You could ask them questions, or teach them a song with actions! Why not ask your teachers to do something silly? (add your own ideas) Surprise them! Do something unexpected! Find an exciting way to reveal your fundraising total. And don’t forget to wow the audience with your celebrity videos! (add your own ideas) Inform them! Remember that BBC Children in Need has a serious side too. Let everyone know how important the money they raised will be. (add your own ideas)

How will we prepare the Celebration of Champions?
By now, you will have some wacky, funny and entertaining ideas to include in your celebration, but how will you put them all together? To help you on your way, you can use the Celebration of Champions PowerPoint, which will give you a guide to what you need to include, and where to fit in the fun stuff! Pick who will be your Digital Leaders; these will need to operate the PowerPoint, videos and music. Each page of the PowerPoint has hints and tips for the group preparing that section. Below is a rough guide indicating how you might like to plan your assembly: Class Role Members 1 Introduce the Assembly 2 Entertainment 1 – Comedy (Optional) 3 Introduce other fundraisers 4 Entertainment 2 – Talent (optional) 5 Explain your fundraising 6 BBC Children in Need information 7 Reveal the total 8 Entertainment 3 – Musical (optional) Etc.

How to be a Champion – Presentation Checklist
Voice Body Ideas Volume Clear Enthusiasm Sound happy and excited Eye contact Actions Confidence Outfit Interesting Excitement Suspense Participation Timetable some rehearsal time in the School Hall – perhaps during lunch times? Ask each class, group or individual to perform their Celebration of Champions section in turn, and provide presentation feedback in the form of one positive, and one point to improve, using the Presentation Checklist as reference. Don't forget to run through the entire event as many times as is necessary before the big event on Friday 13 November And make sure that you have arranged a representative from any other fundraising classes - you may wish to ask them to help collect money for the Dress-Up Day too. You could ask someone to video the final performance as well, so that the class can enjoy the Celebration of Champions themselves later on! Watch a group performance: peer assess, find one point that is being done well, and one that could be improved upon for the Celebration of Champions.
