English B60 In Class Essay #1

Intro There are many pros and cons about the topic American schoolchildren getting tested every year a test that will determined whether they’ll will pass or they will fail. Teachers is a difficult step to take if there in school. Usually, these exams are getting a little challenging every year in schools. Schoolchildren in the majority some students are prepared to take it but not all of them.

Intro Shaky legs, sweaty palms, and an incredible lack of patience is something I can briefly remember when I was taking my standardized tests. Although standardized testing may help students place in higher courses if needed, it limits the child’s learning abilities. Instead of putting students under an insane amount of pressure, there are other way sot assess the overall performance of teachers and students. Schools who rely heavily on standardized testing for school children narrow students’ learning abilities and limit connections they may have with the material.

Body A today’s American children are frequently tested, and on the things that they have learned in the classroom. For example, I relate to seeing progress with my nieces testing. In their progress, they have been scoring high. Data drives information so American kids progress and teachers progress and see if they are good teachers or not. They do analysis if there are geniuses or kids with disabilities.

Body A highly critiqued part of standardized testing is the focus on memorization. A student will memorize phrases or words without taking the time to learn and think about the material because who can have the brain stamina to memorize the information while also questioning it? The student doesn’t even have to memorize all the information, just vague details, and pick which letter answer is closest, whether it be A, B, C, D, or E. Usually after the test, the student completely forgets the material. In order to efficiently learn material, one must think about the material, question it, and form one’s own opinion about it. Simple memorization does not educate.

Conclusion Never be focus on memorizing in which it can cause you not have the skills for education. Lets not focus on standardized testing

Conclusion Does the teacher need to learn to teach a larger variety of education rather than following standardized testing? Yes, a teacher got all that education to teach, to mold a mind. To help the young grow, be curious, and learn. Right now it is not possible with standardized testing.
