There is a 5-part Prayer Path that shows itself in Ephesians 6:18, with each step being valuable to individuals and to the larger community of believers in their “battles” of life.

Praying in the Spirit refers
Step One: Pray in the Spirit So many of our prayers can be “phoned in” or easily made up of “filler words” that we have observed others to use in prayers. Praying in the Spirit refers to having our spirits being fully present in the process, honestly reaching to God.

Step Two: Pray at all Times While many turn to prayer at times of crisis or trouble, after all other options have been spent… God designed prayer to be an on-going lifeline for us, connecting us to Him for support, guidance, protection, and power.

Step Three: Be Alert and Ready to Pray - for the needs of yourself and others 1 Peter 5: (Luke 21:36) “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.”

By following these Prayer Path Steps consistently, we can move from the common trap of being “worriers” that respond to life and temptations; to “warriors” that are proactive in our daily “battles.”
