29. Using Atlas.ti in the VCL
To view your files on your Mac while using Atlas.ti through the VCL, you must do the following:
First, convert your Word (.docx) files to Plain Text (.txt) or Rich Text Format (.rtf).
In Atlas.ti:
Under "Project"
Select "Add Documents"
Select "Assign External Documents"
In pop up screen, click on the desktop icon in left side column (if your files are stored there)
Click on "Access Local Files"
Click on "Read and Write"
You should able to now see your txt files and then import them into Atlas.ti.
