The home keepers that stayed at home and took care of the children Men In charge of income and security They favored boy children because the boys would take care of their parents when they got older Women did not have a voice or say in matters

3 Political The Ruling position was passed down through the Han Dynasty.
There was one single ruler of the whole Empire. The Qin Dynasty was taken over by the Han Dynasty And tried to enforce The Legalistic approach to law enforcement. The Han Rulers divided the Empire into Provences and Countries. They Introduced the civil service examination and established a school to train these candidates. The population increased from 20 million to 60 million at the height of the dynasty. The Han rulers continued to expanded the Chinese Empire.

4 Interaction Between Humans and the Environment
Han rulers, especially Han Wudi added the southern regions below the Chang Jiang into the empire. Part of what is now northern Vietnam, along the South china Sea coast, became part of the empire. Han armies sent westward into Central Asia, extended the Chinese boundary there.

5 Cultural They made Textile manufacturing, water mills for grinding grain, and iron casting. Iron casting led to the invention of paper making, and spread eastward from China beginning in the 7th century ad. They also invented the rudder and fore-and-aft rigging for ships to be able to sail into the wind. And the Writing of History became the chief form of literary effort. The major histories of the Han period, written by Sima Qian and Ban Gu, sculptured Chinese culture of the time and influenced future dynastic histories.

6 Economic As the Empire started to decay, The great noble families filled the gap, amassing huge landed estates and forcing free farmers to become their tenants. They had Confusion principles that continued from the Qin Dynasty before it. The Creation of the Confusion school, which became a required reading for generations of Chinese schoolchildren. Made trades with the surrounding borderline countries and some even across seas. The
