I am an engineer. My favourite structures are bridges. The favourite part of my job is when I deal with issues related to bridges. I am also proud to be STEM ambassador.
English (with a touch of Yorkshire dialect) is my 2nd language. Being awarded a 1st class Honours degree and a doctoral degree from School of Civil Engineering University of Leeds where I studied full time while working part time for 8 years, has given me a great sense of satisfaction.
I have taught engineering modules and mentored many of the very few female undergraduate students during her research. My most challenging moment has been when I had to present my engineering research outcome in an international conference.
Col. Chris Hadfield has been an inspirational figure in my life.
