2 Solar Village Retrofit : Project Background
‹›                                                                                                      Solar Village Retrofit : Project Background Government built a lot of Solar Village providing free Solar Power to remote village since 2008. No intelligent control or networking, it is high cost to maintenance, trouble shoot failure or damage. They assume 100W per hut, but most units are over usage at their electricity, it will run out faster then they expected. Tempering, nobody able to trouble shoot at remote village in the evening. Most of the system installed had been running over 4 years, our partner will propose a upgrade and maintenance contract base on our recommended Architecture.

3 Solar Village : Project Requirement
1.       5-10  LED outdoor lights  - 40W each 2.       Up to 20 homes that they want to give 100w of power to each. Mainly used for lights but can be mobile charger, small radio etc. 3.       Solar inverter will supply 220V AC power 4.       GPRS available to run comms with Smart server 5.       They want connectivity to home base, and OK to use SLV 6.       State owned solar company is funding project 7.       Have a pilot site ready 8.       Strategy is to avoid people using too much power, totally draining battery and shortening life.  So basically for 8 hours at night dim every one and the outdoor lights to end up at a predetermined minimum left in battery, then cut all off.

8 Solar Village Solution: Hut Controller
Features: We can use same “UFPToutdoorLuminairController” funcitonal profile in the controller development, the dimmer feature utilize as a current limited control. Every 1% luminaire represent 10W, if power over limit, it will cut of 30 min before allow to switch on again. Power line controller Use existing city electricity wires for power and communications: no new wires needed It will be easy to support by OLC LID, with all build in features from a Street Light . Standard OLC power line with Street Light Vision repeater technology.

Scalable, monitoring & control by Street light Vision. Each Hut Controller install in each hut for current limited and scheduling. One Controller installed at the front of the channel to detect tempering. Power Inverter PV Module VAC

‹›                                                                                                      Solar Village: System Description We can utilize most of the Street Light Vision features We can utilize all street light vision software features benefit. Easy Installation. Hut Controller can utilize GPS address, mapped in Google as HMI. Schedule limited only for night time usage only. Each Hut Controller can remote set to100W limit each. Remote monitoring and trouble shooting. Each channel use one Hut Controller to monitor tempering, if the sum of hut controller on the line is 5% more than the total channel usage, an alarm will set and reported.

‹›                                                                                                      Solar Street Light: Recommendation The Solar Street Light Controller requirement The controller can read the battery charging status, it is able to dim the LED street light to 8 hours usage accordingly. We can utilize the dimming control status as battery status, 100% = fully charge, 10%=10% charge. Running hours meter show the battery life. All features will be the same as street light vision. Recommend to install cable to link all the Solar Street Light into networks.
