2. In this lesson you will…
Decide on a specific focus and design your survey
Submit your survey questions and a survey proposal stating:
i. your topic and why you chose it,
ii. what you hope to find out
iii. what you expect to find out

3. What you have to do
In pairs, select a topic and design some questions for your survey.
At the beginning of each lesson you will interview a different classmate (starting next week).
At the end of the semester you and your partner will write a report based on the data collected in your interviews.
This will be your final assessed piece of work and will be worth 20% of your final grade.

4. You should:
Include open questions that require your interviewee to say more than just ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. For example:
- What do you think about…?
- Why…?
prepare some introductory questions to get your interviewee to introduce, for example:
themselves
their major
their year (i.e. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year student)

5. You will type up and submit your survey questions with your report.
