We will strive to instill honor, tradition, commitment and pride in our teams and in each other. We will build a solid foundation based on trust and loyalty. We will work to be organized, consistent and supportive to make this an exemplary cheer program and a positive experience for all.

3. Tryout Clinic February 28th- March 2nd 4:30- 6:00 pm
Monday & Tuesday-
Wear a solid white t-shirt and solid back shorts ONLY, no jewelry!
Cheerleader candidates will learn a cheer and dance from the current 2017 graduating seniors.
Material learned during clinic will be performed at Tryouts.
Draw tryout number.
Wednesday March 2nd-
Mock Tryouts performed in the small gym
*Clinic and Mock tryouts will be held in the THS Big Gym*

6. Tryouts TRYOUTS: March 7, 2016 6:00-9:00 pm
Tryouts at Wheeler Field House.
Wear a solid white t-shirt and solid back shorts ONLY, no jewelry!
Meet in the locker room on the home side of Wheeler
There will be mats in the locker room to warm up tumbling
Everyone MUST stay until ALL tryouts are completed incase we have call backs.
Teams will be announced Friday, March 10th at 4:00 on the front doors of Travis High School

Fort Bend ISD hires outside judges to judge tryouts.

I __________ have read, understand, and agree to abide by all of the rules, requirements, expectations, financial guidelines, grading policies, infractions and consequences, listed in the THS Cheer Spirit Book & FBISD Cheer Program Handbook .

12. Sequence of Events
After entering the Gym, each candidate will: 1. Walk out to the cone. 2. Wait for the judges to say “GO”. 3. Spirit in to the center of the mat. 4. Do three jumps 5. Perform a cheer. 6. Walk to opposite end of the mat and tumble in the direction of the door where they entered. 7. Exit the Gym. *After three candidates have performed their individual routine, that group will re-enter the gym and demonstrate their dance as a group.

ALL scheduled practices & games are MANDATORY!
Practices
After school practice will typically be on Mondays/ Tuesday from 2:45- 4:30
Games:
Football:
Football games will typically be Wednesday or Thursday night.
JV ONLY cheers at HOME games
JV will cheer with Varsity at the Varsity Homecoming game ONLY!
Volleyball & Basketball
Typically Tuesday or Thursday 5:30PM at Travis
Pep Rallies:
JV & Varsity will perform at pep rallies
6th period cheer class
Will count as a PE credit
Must dress out everyday
