3 Indelible What we know so far…

4 Fingerprints that made the case…
London - The neighbors of Thomas and Ann Farrow, shopkeepers in South London, discover their badly bludgeoned bodies in their home. Thomas was already dead, but Ann was still breathing. She died four days later without ever having regained consciousness. - Since the cash box in which the Farrow’s stored their cash receipts was empty, it was clear to Scotland Yard investigators that robbery was the motive for the crime. One print on the box did not match the victims or any of the still-tiny file of criminal prints that Scotland Yard possessed. - Fortunately, a local milkman reported seeing two young men in the vicinity of the Farrow house on the day of the murders. Soon identified as brothers Alfred and Albert Stratton, the police began interviewing their friends. - Alfred’s right thumb was a perfect match for the print on the Farrow’s cash box. The fingerprint evidence became the prosecution’s only solid evidence when the milkman was unable to positively identify the Strattons.

5 Fingerprints that made the case…
Machine Gun Kelly - notorious criminal during the Prohibition era, taking part in bootlegging, kidnapping and armed robbery. - On July 22, 1933, he and another man kidnapped wealthy Oklahoma City oilman Charles Urschel. $200,000 ransom was paid & the man was released 9 days later. - Urschel could remember details of his captivity that allowed the FBI to determine the location he was held. (A farm owned by Kelly’s father in law) - Urschel’s fingerprints were found all over the house

6 Fingerprints that made the case…
The Night Stalker - June 1984 and August 1985 - Southern California serial killer broke into victims’ houses as they slept and attacked, murdering 13 and assaulting numerous others. - A teenager noticed a suspicious vehicle driving through his neighborhood on the night of August 24, He wrote down the license plate and notified police. Car was abandoned, but police found a fingerprint. - Richard Ramirez IDed and apprehended.
