84,000 credit students each semester, total enrollment of more than 95,000 (credit and non-credit). Largest institution of higher education in the greater Houston area. One of the fastest-growing college systems in U.S. Added 38,810 students fall 2005 to fall 2015, a 86% increase. 11 school districts, 1,400 square miles, population of 2 million. 6,300 employees (part-time and full-time).

10 What is State Reporting?
TSR is a reporting entity; Produce fundable and non-fundable Texas State Reports for the Educational Data Center (CBM Reports); Communicate data problems with campuses - Communicate THECB policy changes to campuses

11 State Reporting State Reporting team is responsible for the submission and certification of course and student enrollment data for all LSC Credit and CE programs to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) Responsible for knowing CB rules and guidelines regarding the reporting of student data. Knowledge of LSC business processes for capturing student, faculty, and course data within Campus Solutions.

Year Round Process Fall term, Spring term, Summer term System based process, Campus based reports Retrieve data for the system Submit data for each specific campus Raw data files submitted, not summarized data No summary data submitted to the THECB Data submitted in text files Report both Credit and CE data

CBM001 (Student Report) and CBM004 (Course Report) Data reported status as of census date per term Data is used in Success Point calculations, Accountability System Reporting, and any CTC reports where student and course information is required Formula Funding calculations primarily based on data from this set of reports End of Term Reports CBM00S (Student-Schedule Report), CBM0E1 (Student Report), CBM002 (TSI Report), and the CBM008 (Faculty Report)) Data reported status as of end of the term Data is used in Accountability System Reporting, and any CTC reports where student and course information is required

CBM00A (Student Report) and CBM00C (Class Report) Data reported every quarter Both beginning and end of quarter information is provided Data is used for formula funding calculations and Accountability System reporting Annual Reports CBM009 (Graduation Report), CBM00M (Occupational Skills Report – CE) Data reported for the most recently completed academic year Data is used in the Accountability System reporting and success points calculations

Report Process CBM report data is pulled directly out of iStar Data quality and accuracy TSR team does not own the data “Data in = Data out”; TSR does not report data that are not in iStar Reports run rather quickly within our CBM Module – Data changes can be checked and acknowledged – Reports are run early and often to account for data issues Data issues easily addressed Work with TSR contacts at the colleges to address data issues TSR Data Audit queries are delivered weekly and available on demand

Demographic Data (address information, gender, residency, FTIC, etc.) Course Approval/Cipcode (classification of instructional program code) errors; CIP codes are used to identify degree and certificate programs, courses, and declared majors on the reports and inventories of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board
