2. New Layouts
The new presentation theme for 2018 again features a selection of alternate title slides to enable you to target your presentations more specifically to your audience. However, this year we have simplified the template to include a corporate title slide featuring ‘saving lives & livelihoods’ imagery, and a title slide representing each of the BUs featuring segment related imagery. We have also included a generic corporate title slide without imagery.

3. Other Key Slides
The new template adopts the same minimal, tech-forward, and modern design language as the new FLIR website (3.0) which will be released in There are layouts for starting new sections, two-column and three-column layouts, and several title slide layouts – all of which are designed with flexibility and consistency in mind.

5. Fonts
The new presentation theme for 2018 continues to use our corporate display font called Industry for all headers & main titles. This font is automatically loaded on to all FLIR computers, but is not a system font and will not display on non-FLIR computers. As a fallback, we specify the use of Arial for all slide titles when Industry is not available. The 2018 template also uses the system font Arial for all body text. Arial must be used for all text, including main headers and titles if Industry is not installed.

The corporate color palette is displayed below. These colors must be used for all diagrams and charts to ensure that presentations are consistent with the FLIR corporate identity.

7. How to Use the Template
Open the main 2018-FLIR-PPT-Widescreen-Template.potx or 2018-FLIR-PPT-Standard-Template.potx depending on your target screen requirements. PowerPoint automatically creates a new presentation from the template. Rename the new file as desired.
The new presentation features a single blank slide. To add slides, click and select your desired title slide layout from the list.
Click on the title, subtitle and date boxes to edit the slide. The template automatically formats the fonts for you.
Continue to add new slides by selecting the most appropriate layouts for your purpose.
Make sure you include the end card layout as your last slide, and include the appropriate export language if necessary.
Before saving your presentation for the last time, click File > Compress Pictures and select an appropriate resolution for your output. This will help reduce the size of your presentation for distribution.

8. Export Control Language
If you are including technical data in your presentation, please choose the appropriate EC text from the following options and include it in your slides. (Note: technical data for export purposes is information needed for the design, development, production, use or modification of FLIR items.) If you are unsure which text applies to your presentation, please reach out to GTC for assistance.
