4. Use contrast to focus attention
When you put text over a picture, you need to make sure it’s legible. For this slide, I inserted a rectangle, put it behind the placeholder, and formatted it with a transparency gradent, all white, so that the color behind the text was solid but blended into the photo.

This slide uses the Title and Lower-Right Photo layout. You can adjust the size of the picture placeholder to suit the photo. If the photo’s background doesn’t match that of the slide, remove the photo’s background, so there’s no “box” around the photo.
