Product development for industry (substrate & coatings ) electrical steels, enamelling steels, plate steels, pipeline steels, surface treatments, metallic coatings, new surface functions by different techniques, other than PVD or thick organic coatings ( Solgel, CVD,... ).  CVD technology for all markets Welding for industry : including evaluation of new technologies (such as electromagnetic welding, friction stir welding)  Laser cutting for industry Toxicology, including toxicology of welding fumes (all markets) Forming & Joining for the industry market, independent of technology Steel solutions development and customer technical assistance for general industry, domestic appliances and mechanical construction CAD, including electromagnetic modelling Characterization of Metal / Polymer, especially of interface phenomena, adhesion and cross linking theories (Gen Research shared with Industry Liège) Process development for applying thin organic coatings in industry markets
