Western Europe is the largest region for almond exports, followed by Asia, Middle East, Canada and Mexico, and Eastern Europe.

12. Top 10 Export Destinations Million Pounds
The top three export markets for almonds are Spain, Germany and Japan, while Canada ranks eighth. What is interesting to note is that Spain, the #1 market, is actually the world’s second largest producer of almonds. Only about half of the almonds sent to Spain are consumed there. Rather, the nation serves as a key transshipment point to other countries in Western Europe.
