2. Point of View The Narrator’s relation to the story being told.
The narrator is the person or persona within a story that conveys the plot to the reader.

3. First Person POV -First Person POV is from a character’s perspective.
The audience knows only what the narrator knows.
This information may NOT always be accurate.
ALWAYS question the trustworthiness of the narrator’s account of events.
Can you think of an example of a story told from the first person POV?

4. 2nd Person POV Narrator refers to one of the characters as “you

Makes reader feel like part of the story

5. 3rd Person Limited
The narrator only knows the thoughts and/or feelings of one character.
Other characters are only seen from the narrator’s perspective.

6. 3rd Person Omniscient
The narrator knows all the thoughts and feelings of all the characters in a story.
Narrator feels like a voice that sees and knows everything.

7. 3rd Person Objective Narrator is not involved in the story.
Narrator does not know the thoughts or feelings of any of the characters.
Narrator is like someone watching, they only know what they see and hear said out loud.
