1 Materials: sheet of paper, something to write with, BYOT
Using your space phones, web search three different versions of narrative fiction, list them on a sheet of paper, then give a short summary telling what they are about (2-3 sentences each). If you don’t know what narrative fiction is, use your web searching abilities to find out  English III April 5th Materials: sheet of paper, something to write with, BYOT

2 1st person point of view-
1. Simple – One character tells the story. Example: “I felt like I was getting drowned with shame and disgrace.” 2. Simple Unreliable Narrator – One character tells the story but we don’t know if he is telling the truth. Example: Holden Caulfield in The Catcher in the Rye

3 1st person point of view-
On your sheet of paper, write down one example of a simple 1st person perspective and an example of an unreliable 1st person narrative. You may use your BYOT space devices to research examples or a story that you are familiar with 

4 1st person point of view-
3. Rashamon Effect – This means multiple characters tell their version of the same events in the story. Example: In, As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner, each chapter is told from the point of view of a different character. 4. First Person Omniscient - The narrator is a character in the story, but also knows the thoughts and feelings of all the other characters. Example: “I knew that she was not interested in me. She has never liked guys my age.”

5 1st person point of view-
On your sheet of paper, write down one example of a Ramashon effect 1st person perspective and an example of an omniscient 1st person narrative. You may use your BYOT space devices to research examples or a story that you are familiar with 

6 2nd person point of view-
Second Person – The character tells the story using the pronoun ‘You’. Example: You walk into the room. You know he's there in the darkness. You smile as you smell the sunshine and wind in his hair.

7 2nd person point of view-
On your sheet of paper, write down one example of a 2nd person point of view. You may use your BYOT space devices to research examples or a story that you are familiar with 

8 3rd person point of view-
Third Person – The narrator tells the story using the pronouns ‘He’ and ‘She’. Example: She walks into the room. She knows he's there in the darkness. She smiles as she smells the sunshine and wind in his hair. … there are three versions of 3rd person point of view

9 3rd person point of view-
Subjective – This means the author focuses on one character and his thoughts and feelings. It is similar to simple first person but the author uses ‘he’ instead of ‘I’. Omniscient – This means the author gives readers a broad view of the story. The thoughts and feelings of many, or all, the characters are shown. Objective – This means the author observes, and tells the story according to the actions of the characters. Readers have no idea what is going on inside the heads of the main characters.

10 3rd person point of view-
On your sheet of paper, write down one example of a subjective 3rd person perspective, an example of an omniscient 3rd person narrative, and an example of an objective 3rd person narrative. You may use your BYOT space devices to research examples or a story that you are familiar with 
