A double stem-and-leaf plot can display two sets of data at once. The stem is between the two bars, and the leaves are on each side. Leaves are in increasing order from the stem. Use the following stem-and-leaf plot to answer the questions below. New Car Mileage (mi/gal) City Highway 9 1 4 1 means 20 mi/gal means 27 mi/gal Extension! 6. Find the mean of the city mileage and highway mileage for nine new cars. 7. Find the median of the city mileage and of the highway mileage. 8. Find the mode(s) of the city mileage and of the highway mileage. 9. Find the range of the city mileage and of the highway mileage.
