Indonesia does not conduct routine national surveillance
There is no national clinical guideline for diagnosis, treatment and care for HCV
The Ministry of Health first established a national program focused on viral hepatitis in 2011, under the Sub Directorate for Gastrointestinal Infections and Diarrheal Diseases.

Since 2011, PKNI has worked with drug users, policy-makers, and service providers to raise awareness about Hep C and ensure that the community is meaningfully involved in the national response. Highlights include:
Fill pre grant opposition against Sofosbufir patent registration
Training of service providers across 9 provinces
Collaboration with Indonesian Liver Researchers Association and Ministry of health on public Hep C campaign
Policy briefing on Hep C
Hepatitis C Community Task Force to input in MoH planning

Involved in developing National Guideline for Hep C Care, Support and Treatment with MoH in 2014
