Back to School Night Math: Problem of the Week Full credit even if the answer is wrong Want to see their best attempts The written explanation is the most important part! Book Notes Notes are there to help you as well Study the notes leading up to the test

Back to School Night Accelerated Math: Students can work on their Accelerated Math each night at home Only Practices and Exercises can be taken home. 2-3 Practices to earn a Test Tests can only be completed in class. Should earn at least 10% of their goal each week. Only Tests earn the students points towards their goal Take a Test every week The goal for this week is 20%. 30% by next Friday, September 6 th 40% by Friday, September 13 th

Back to School Night Tests: Approximately 1 week of warning Study 15-20 minutes each night Want students to begin studying right away Better prepared if studying is done over several days Good night sleep the night before a test Re-takes are available for some tests Students should attend a study session Extra practice on the concepts

Back to School Night Homework: Written on the board All rooms have it written on the board Needs to be written in the planner each day Expect it every night Due the following day unless told otherwise Student needs to bring it back each day

Back to School Night Progress Reports: The first set of progress reports will be sent home on September 3 rd Sent home every 3 weeks Follow your childs grades on the Parent Portal Grades are not based on just points, but points within categories Missing assignments are posted on the wall
