FLO 2 Training is complete for the year and will begin again next year Pear.com- raised $105.84 Thank you for participating in the survey that was sent out. Lots of great information and we will be following up on a few items. Board Interest Form online on the council website and Facebook- deadline to submit is March 22nd for officer positions.

7 Wendy Hider 2nd VP Membership Currently have 18,381 members
Membership numbers are down 640 members. A big improvement from 1,191 short in January!! We have received the Bronze Council Voice for Every Child Award. The voice for every child award is based on having a member for every student enrolled. We are currently at 37%.

khaki shorts for boys and girls in youth sizes, polos in youth sizes (navy, white and maroon needed most), new sneakers in youth whole and half sizes, and black mesh athletic shorts in YL and XL through Adult XL. As always, donations of time and dollars are also very much appreciated. Please like our Dressed to Learn page on Facebook to stay up to date on current needs and information

GOING GREEN FAIR: #LISDPTAGoingGreen Digital Fair open for the entire month of April Entries can be submitted starting April 1, 2017 and the last day for submitting entries will be April 30, 2017. Instead of limiting to the Literature and Art entries, we are opening it out to all kinds of smarts. All entries are welcome: Art, Music, Photography, Essays, Poems, Recipes, Videos, Projects you are doing or have done this year, Apps,… anything that fits the Theme Going Green. Going Green means making more environmentally friendly choices such as ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’, spreading awareness, and helping protect natural resources and endangered species... Show us how you celebrate our dear planet Earth, lovely trees, icebergs, oceans and our fellow animals… How will you help raise awareness and protect our green friends? OPEN TO ALL: Students, Teachers, Staff, and Schools. Let your creativity flow…Let your love for the environment show!(Just make sure to post your own original creative work, avoid using copyrighted works, cite all references and give all due credits) Share it on Social Media with #GoGreenLISDPTA and optionally #yourGroupName, earn points and get recognized as LISD PTA 2017 Green Ambassadors! Scoring: Each individual entry will count as 5 points and each project entry with groups of 5 or more will get 50 points! So get ready to earn your points starting April 1st and get recognized as LISD PTA 2017 Green Ambassadors!

GREEN WEEK Saturday, April 22nd (International Mother Earth Day) - Friday, April 28th (National Arbor Day) We will send information in our newsletter about Earth Day celebrations. For the school week starting Monday, April 24th to Friday, April 28th, we have a theme for each day. Just do something simple that goes with the theme. Whether small or big, every single action matters! Tell us what you do with #LISDPTAGreenWeek. Monday April 24 Get your Green on!: Wear Green and Think Green! Tuesday, April 25 Reduce, Reuse, Recycle : What can you reduce, reuse, recycle? At school, at home? Recycle that paper or plastic bottle, Reduce waste at lunch? Get a recycling bin at home? Wednesday, April 26 Environment friend: Celebrate an environment friend today. Bee friend? Support a cause, share your gratitude. Thursday, April 27 Energy savior: Be an energy savior today, turn that light off, walk/bike to school, unplug for some time,… Friday, April 28 New beginnings, New resolutions: It’s National Arbor Day! Plant a tree. Care for a tree. Start a garden. Make a resolution to be more environment-friendly.

SEPTSA is hosting a parent workshop tonight (Wednesday) for families with preschoolers with disabilities.  "Moving Up from PPCD to Kindergarten" will include a panel of LISD educators to answer parent questions about this important transition.  6:30pm at the Lewisville Library.  For more info, see our event posting on Facebook, LISD SEPTSA.
