SKC IS PROUD TO INTRODUCE A NEW LOW FLOW SAMPLING PUMP
SKC Pocket Pump Touch Revolutionizes sampling with sorbent tubes and sample bags
3
RELIABILITY COMBINES WITH INNOVATION IN THIS PUMP
Time-proven technology of the original Pocket Pump Enhanced in the new Pocket Pump Touch
4
HAVE A LOOK AT THE EXCITING NEW FEATURES
Touch screen navigation for simple, intuitive operation. So easy that you don’t have to read the instruction manual.
5
SUPER CHARGED POWER IN A COMPACT PACKAGE
Pneumatic stack is enhanced to provide low flows from 20 to 500 ml/min PROVIDES LONG RUN TIMES up to 20 hours at 500 mL/min Size: 3.2 x 3.8 x 1.5 in (8.1 x 9.7 x 3.8 cm) Weight: 8.3 ounces (235 grams) Fits in a pocket. Unobtrusive on a belt.
6
WITH SURE CONNECT INDICATOR LIGHT
MAGNETIC CHARGING CONNECTOR WITH SURE CONNECT INDICATOR LIGHT The magnetic charger plugs into any USB charging port with sufficient power. If the blue light comes on, the charger board has detected that the charger can provide sufficient power to the pump.
7
Exhaust Port For bag sampling
Requires optional quick-connect accessory
8
Bluetooth adds connectivity with pc and datatrac pro software
Uses Bluetooth 4.0 (Bluetooth low-energy) connection. No configuration is required with the dongle. The dongle has custom software so that connecting to SKC DataTrac Pro software for Pocket Pump Touch is simple. Simply plug in the dongle, and DataTrac Pro software will automatically find and connect to any nearby pumps.
9
SOLID AND SECURE INTRINSICALLY SAFE
Pump case is made from tough polycarbonate over molded with a conductive thermoplastic elastomer. Pump was drop tested using several 1 meter drops at -25 C and still functioned properly. Belt clip is made from stainless steel and is easily replaceable. Sure-Connect charger uses powerful neodymium magnets. Touch screen has a replaceable, protective cover. IS approvals: UL, ATEX, and IECEx.

OPERATING THE PUMP: MAIN SAMPLING SCREEN
LET’S GO THROUGH A PUMP SET UP USING A FLOW RATE OF 250 ML/MIN FOLLOWED BY A SINGLE POINT FLOW CALIBRATION. To begin, simply tap on the flow rate button in the upper left to change the flow.
12
FLOW ADJUST SCREEN To SET the flow:
Press the up and down arrows in the middle section of the pump OR Press the right and left arrows at the top to change the flow in larger increments.
13
ADJUSTING THE FLOW The previous slide indicated that the flowrate was set at 35 ml/min. If the top right arrow was pressed once, the flowrate indicated would now be 125 ml/min.
14
TO REACH THE DESIRED FLOW
Press the right arrow again and the flowrate will increase to the 250 ml/min flow desired. Press the checkmark to accept this flowrate and this will bring you back to the main sampling screen shown on the next slide.
15
CALIBRATING THE PUMP STEP ONE
From the main sampling screen, press the calibration button in the upper right corner of the screen.
16
CALIBRATING THE PUMP STEP TWO
With the flowmeter connected to the sampling train, do a calibration adjustment using the up/down arrows until the flow on the calibrator matches the desired 250 ml/min flowrate.
17
THE CALIBRATION FACTOR
In our example, the pump had to be adjusted by a -2 calibration factor to achieve the desired flow. This is indicated by the -2 shown on the lower left and was achieved by pressing the down arrow twice. Finally, press the check mark to accept the calibration.
18
SETTING A TIMED RUN Go to the main sampling screen and click on the runtime box in the bottom left corner. After you set the desired run time, press the start arrow in the bottom right corner to begin sampling.
19
VIEW THE ACTIVE SAMPLING SCREEN
Critical Sampling Details SHOWN INCLUDE: Time, Date, and Battery Status Flowrate Run Time the following details CYCLE on the screen: Accumulated Sample Volume Temperature/Atmospheric Pressure Inlet Pressure (Backpressure of the Media)
20
LOCK FUNCTION While running, pump can be locked and unlocked by pressing the top button. Secure lock allows you to set a custom password to prevent tampering.
