NDR– New Design Registration: Use this program if you are doing demand creation for any product that is on the CDE Registered Products List (Screw Terminal Aluminum Electrolytics types: DCMC, 500C, 520C, 550C, Flatpack Aluminum Electrolytics types: MLP, MLS, Power Film types: 944U, 945U, 947C and UNL) CDE must be added to the BOM for new customer programs prior to production. Registration valid for (24) months Business circumstances will determine whether or not to extend beyond (24) months Up to 15% discount off of SDC or competitively priced with the market See NDR Program Guidelines for details PR–Product Registration: Use this program for all products. Q: What is the difference between a New Design Registration (NDR) and Product Registration (PR)? A: An NDR rewards distribution for creating demand for a product listed on the CDE Registered Products List. Distribution must add CDE to the Bill of Materials (BOM) for the new customer program prior to production. A: Product Registration (PR) is used for competitive conversions for all products and design-in of products not included on the CDE Registered Products List Q: How long is registration pricing valid? A: NDRs will be valid for 24 months. PRs will be valid for 12 months. Q: At what point in the design cycle should the distributor submit the opportunity? A: NDR: After customer’s review of the quotation and request for sample submission, register the opportunity with your local sales representative. A: PR: After customer’s review of the quotation, register the opportunity with your local sales representative. Q: What happens to my registration pricing when supplier changes its standard distributor pricing? A: Increases or decreases in the price may affect the pricing for existing registrations, however, the Distributor will maintain up to 15% discount off of SDC for NDRs, 10% for PRs.
