Do not change the font size or style. Add your title in the larger font section – Limited to 3 Lines Use the “Subtitle” section for Presenter(s) Name(s) or the Date (this section is optional) Do not put images on this slide.

Do not change the font size, color or style. If your title needs two lines, the font will automatically re-size for you. NO SENTENCES Add Text/Content in the Bullet Area Capitalize all principal words when using incomplete sentences. Non-Principal Words: a, the, at, to, is, if, etc.

15 The section title slide is used for when you want to change topics within a presentation or when you switch presenters. Limited to 3 Lines All Caps No Sentences!

16 Using this “Subtitle” slide is a great option when you have a topic that will require several slides and separate topics. For example: “ICONX” is in your topic, the subtitles will be “Features” and “Pricing”.

19 Use the tombstone slide when you have something that you want your audience to remember or call out to them. Example: Your topic is “Logo Usage” and you want to ensure that your audience remembers a very important rule: “Never Use the Valley Logo in RED!”

21 This is the Blank Slide option and is great for inserting large tables, charts or a graphic/picture.
Tip: Do not overlap any of the graphics or wording on the page. If overlapping occurs, use the totally blank slide option.

23 To Properly Insert a New Slide:
From the Home tab, click on “New Slide” A dropdown will appear showing each different slide option you have to choose from. Click on the option you are needing and the slide will be inserted.

24 Creating An Agenda Slide:
Insert a Section Header Slide Put “Agenda” in the Title Section Change Your Bullet to Number List NO ROMAN NUMERALS

25 To Edit The Footer for Your Presentation:
Click the “View” Tab Click on “Slide Master” Click on the top slide in the Master View.

26 Click on the Insert Tab Click Header & Footer Adjust only the “Valmont Irrigation” section. Click “Apply to All” Do not remove or alter the date or page number. Utilize to insert the presenter name or the name of your presentation. NOTE: Do not for any reason move the footer around on the page. Don’t overlap it and don’t move it to the other side of the page. Leave it where it is. If for some reason your content is overlapping it, you can delete it on that one slide, but do not move it around!

Click to Edit Text Do not move text boxes or this line! 2 lines are available for your title… NO SENTENCES! Do not change the font size or color of font in any way. 28 Rules for Bullets Bullet Point My Super Important Bullet Sub Point
Do not change the bullet type. The bullet will change automatically when you hit “Tab”. For example: No check marks Do not change the font color unless emphasizing a word. Do not change the color of the bullets. Do not use WordArt. 29 Inserting a table: Click on the table icon. The “Insert Table” box will appear. Choose the number of columns and rows you need and click “OK”

30 The table above will populate with all formatting worked into it.
Do not change the font, font color or the colors in the table. This will allow for a consistent and clean look.

31 Again, when inserting charts or tables, please use the color scheme that is built into the master or choose from the other design options listed in the “Chart Tools”.

32 There is a color pallet built into the presentation template.
Please choose from this color pallet for a consistent look. You may incorporate other colors into charts or tables when it makes sense. Example: Chart with competition comparison – Red for Lindsay, Yellow for T-L, Royal Blue for Reinke, etc.

33 Additional Rules to Follow
Do not dual-brand the Valley® presentation without marketing’s approval. Use in Text Refrain from Inter-Company Logo Usage Pictures & Graphics: Use Clear Pictures & Graphics Do Not Over-Use No Drop-Shadowing, Feathering, Mirroring Effects, etc.

34 Additional Rules to Follow (continued)
Add a border (shape outline) to images with white backgrounds. For Example: One-Sheeters, Brochures, etc. To Add The Border: Click on the Image Click Format Click Picture Border Scroll Down to Weight Choose ¼ pt.

35 Cropping Photos: Insert Your Photo, Click on the Photo, Click on the Format Tab, Click on “Crop” Use the little black bars to crop the image Click on “Crop”

36 Compressing Photos: Click on a photo and then the Format tab Click “Compress Pictures” Make sure “Apply to this picture” and “Delete crossed areas of pictures” are both checked. Choose “Print” for your “Target output”

When resizing a photo, pull from the corner to ensure it does not distort the photo. Drag from the corner to resize the image
