Workplace Financial Wellness Do you know the value of your company-provided benefits? 401(k) plan Defined benefit pension plan Short-term and long-term disability insurance Workers’ compensation Health insurance Life insurance Paid vacations Dental and vision insurance Let’s take a minute to think about why we work. Two of the biggest reasons are: The income it provides. The benefits offered by our employer, which we might not otherwise be able to afford. Here at <company name>, you enjoy a wealth of employee benefits. Among these are <get list from HR department, update bullets on the slide and provide a brief description of each>. Employee benefits are really a hidden paycheck. While you may not see the value reflected on your pay stub, it may be a significant percentage of your employer’s payroll costs.

Workplace Financial Wellness Employee benefit questions to consider Are you making the most of your benefits? Do they meet all of your current needs? Will you stay in your job until you retire? What happens to your benefits when you retire? Which benefits need to be portable? Will they keep up with inflation? Are they guaranteed? 13 Risk protection review: life insurance
Workplace Financial Wellness Risk protection review: life insurance 41% of Americans don’t own life insurance1 20% of life insurance owners in the U.S. say they don’t have enough coverage1 In your risk protection review, we’ll talk about why protecting against the unexpected is key to a sound financial strategy. How can you get this protection? One of the most important ways is through life insurance. As you probably know, life insurance provides a death benefit that can help provide for your family financially if you pass on. Unfortunately, a large percentage of people are either uninsured or underinsured. [Read stats] We can help you determine the right coverage for your needs. 1 The Insurance Barometer Study, LIMRA/Life Happens, 2017.

14 Risk protection review: disability insurance
Workplace Financial Wellness Risk protection review: disability insurance 80% of Americans don’t own disability insurance1 1 in 4 people entering the workplace today will become disabled before they retire2 An even larger percentage of people don’t have any disability insurance, as you can see. Disability coverage provides you with monthly benefits to help pay for everyday living expenses if you become too sick or hurt to work. That’s really important, since 1 in 4 people entering the workplace today will become disabled before they retire. Again, we’re here to help you take steps to ensure your income and family are protected if life throws a curveball your way. 1 The Insurance Barometer Study, LIMRA/Life Happens, 2017. 2 Social Security Administration, Fact Sheet, June 2016.
