I hope everyone had a very happy holiday. The ugly sweater contest was a hit! Diane Kramer won a $15 Epsom Pizza gift certificate for the ugliest sweater. Which I would like to thank Sonia Cormier our Thirty-One vendor for the donation of this prize. Trivia has become a great time and a great gathering time. I would like to thank all who have come to support this event and we hope to have more come enjoy it with us! EVERY WEDNESDAY! **Free Trivia** In the lounge we have some laughs, learn things we never knew about each other and the answers to some of these questions.. I can’t wait to see you! 1/20/16 Vendor 6pm. Come out and join us for a great night of fun and laughter with our volunteers, vendors and community. The cost is only $10 to play and possibly win several prizes provided by our vendors. Food menu and cash bar to purchase from event 1/31/17 Paint 7pm. This will be a smoke free event 16+ and a great time painting on canvas on this night. Want to see what we will be painting? Like us on Facebook and subscribe to our events. I had been working on two events for this month that just won’t be possible. With all my attempts for a pub crawl, other venues aren’t able at this time to be involved. Please know I haven’t given up.. We will just have to choose another date! Next is the Flea market we had discussed. After speaking with several flea marketers, we have decided that it isn’t an optimal time of year for them or us. In all cases we need to be sure it works for all people involved. Thank you for your understanding. Please remember, if you have ideas and want your voice heard, attend those member meetings. They are crucial in making changes and staying informed. Finally the winner of the $10 gift card to Dunkin Donuts for Heather’s event participation is…… Jane Smith. Thank you to Ken Pennell for the donation of this gift certificate. Next month we will be doing this again with a new gift certificate idea

Happy New Year my fellow ELKS.
January means many things. New year, new resolutions, and new transitions. For us this year it will mean reaching for some new goals. First is raising money to raise our lodge ENF per capita. In the lasy few years we have received almost 20,000 in grant money from the ENF. Moneys raised for the ENF do so much for local communities including ours. We need to do our best to give back and do our part to make sure that the ENF continues to be successful. I put a chart in the members lounge. I will update it regularly to mark our success. Our goal for the months of January and February is to raise $500. Donations can be made in the Lounge, to the Secretary, and a link will be on the Concord-Epsom Elks website to make donations online. We may have a raffle as well. Any and all help would be appreciated. We are striving to be one of the top 3 Lodges in the state for per capita donations. We can do this.
It is also time to start thinking about February Officer nominations. If you are willing to step up and help, please make your intentions known. New voices and new faces are always needed to help us grow. Let your voice be heard.

December was a busy month and we would like to thank all the members that donated time, money and resources. The Kids Christmas party went exceptionally well. We had a great turn out of kids and families. Thank you to Santa and his elves
We had an amazing turnout for the members Christmas party and Yankee swap. Fun and laughter filled the members lounge all night.
It’s Only January but start thinking about Valentines Day! We will be hosting a candle light dinner in the hall set up nice, warm and cozy. That will be on Feb 11th. More details in next months bulletin.
Also time to think ahead to officers as Feb is nominations month. Feb 6th Will be the meeting for nominations. If you want to get more involved and would like to be nominated or would like to nominate someone, that is the do not miss meeting.
Membership dues statements will also be rolling out in Feb. Online payment will be available!
Be sure to put the calendar on your fridge so you know when we have events coming up and join us!
