Largest of all flat fish can weigh over150 pounds.
Both eyes are on their upper side, but were not born that way. Eyes rotate to upper side at about 6 months.
Oldest on record based on otolith (ear bone) measurements was 42 years.
Harvesting is controlled by the International Pacific Halibut Commission.
