2. InstalSystem software package
InstalSystem package is intended for designers of indoor heating and sanitary installations.
Version 4, released in 2004 and developed in following years, allows designing of:
radiant heating,
convection heating,
convection cooling,
hot & cold water,
sewage installations,
as well as calculate heat losses and heat demand of the building.
It leads designer through all the stages of designing work, starting from installations schemes, through hydraulic and thermal calculations, to printouts and price offers. As our logo says ‘InstalSoft. Easy and professional designing’ we offer complex software solutions with emphasis on easy and quick data introduction and modifications.
With 18 language versions available, tens of software versions customized for partners (HVAC systems producers / suppliers) and close to twenty thousand of licenses distributed within many countries, we may find ourselves as one of leading suppliers of such software.

3. InstalSystem 5 – new software generation
Recently we have finalized the first releases of a new InstalSystem version. The new version may be boldly called new generation as it brings crucial novelties and changes in all software components e.g.:
new graphical engine,
new import/export formats,
new user interface,
new calculating modules,
new printouts engine,
new license distribution system.
First commercial release of version 5 allows e.g. for:
designing heating and cooling radiant systems
designing convection heating and cooling systems with radators
thermal calculations of building
Next functional modules, those currently available in version 4 (e.g. tap water installations) as well as the new ones (e.g. cooling demand calculations), will be added in scope of next releases.

4. New technology and software components
The new application is developed with the use of the most recent IT design solutions, which provide an array of innovative functions to improve efficiency and quality of the designer's everyday work. The new technologies build a basis for further development enabling faster response to market expectations by introducing changes in existing modules and by expanding the software package with new functionalities or entirely new modules / design of new types of systems and equipment.

5. All types of installation in one software application
Version 5 groups all designing modules within one common application. Combining all programs of the package into one multi-modular application improves user-friendliness and allows for faster work and completion of design projects that involve various systems (heating, cooling, sanitary, etc.).

6. New user interface
Starting from replacement of toolbars with ribbons technology to rearrangement of project data tabs, changes cover many aspects of so-called user interface. The major aim was to make the interface more friendly and easy to learn.

7. Database technology used for project files
The new version uses database technology to save project files. It increases robustness and reliability of the software. It also helps supporting implementation of import and export using open BIM formats, as gbXML or IFC.

8. New licence distribution system
Version 5 offers new options in scope of program distribution. Directly from the software (e.g. when trial version expired), inquiry about commercial license may be sent to InstalSoft partner.
In reply the system allows partner to accept a license provision or provide alternative options (e.g. provide time limited license instead of unlimited one). The major advantages of the new system are prompt replies to end-user inquiries and lack of necessity to buy licenses on stock.

9. New update system and unique file version control
Software package is constantly changing – every few weeks there is a new release. The changes cover software itself and databases of our partners products. The new system enables to download every past release and calculate old project file with the use of software release on which it was created. It eliminates problems with necessity of recalculation old project files with the use of discontinued products, modified (old) standards etc.

10. New graphical environment with 3D presentation
To simplify graphical edition InstalSystem 5 base on 2D plan views.
However user can view the complete design in 3D, as well as make some modification with use of this view.
User may control content of 3D view (building structure with all installations or only selected).

11. Designing of radiant heating and cooling systems
Together with heating systems it is also possible to design cooling systems with use of floor, wall and ceiling surfaces. The calculation is made according to EN 1264 standard.

12. Automatic division of heating/cooling zones
Basing on two criteria of user’s choice (equal pressure drop in each loop or equal area covered by each loop) program automatically divides heating zones into heating circuits.
User may control e.g. maximum coil length and maximum pressure drop within single circuit.

13. Automatic drawings of pipe feeds...
Pipe feeds between manifold and particular heating zones in InstalSystem 4 must have been planned and drawn manually. Keeping the distance between the pipes and their arrangement with avoidance of collisions have been difficult and time consuming task.
InstalSystem 5 offers new option of automatic pipe feeds drawings at the proper, calculated spacing and with required number of pipes.

...and picture on this slide shows the results which are automatically generated by the program. Depending on the number of loops in the particular heating/cooling zone program leads required number of pipe feeds to each room.
User may manually modify arrangement if necessary.

15. Ceiling/wall panels in heating&cooling applications
InstalSystem 5 supports designing of radiant systems made with the use of ceiling and wall panels. It allows to arrange the panels, use various connection variants, calculate heating/cooling output and balance the whole system hydraulically.

16. Central heating installations with radiators
Heating systems with radiators can be fully designed, sized, balanced with list of products as a final result.
Radiators as well as the integrated fittings and valves can be selected from the available product databases.
InstalSystem 5 enables design of combined systems, e.g. radiant heating system along with the supplementary convective heating elements.

17. Dry floor panels in heating & cooling applications
The software supports designing of radiant systems made with the use of dry floor panels. It allows to arrange the panels with the additional possibility to cut off the panel and re-use it in other place.

18. Flat stations
InstalSystem 5 is capable of designing central heating installation equipped with flat stations, which participates in supplying flat heating installation with heating medium. Flat station is also responsible for heating hot tap water using embedded plate heat exchanger.

19. Thermal calculations of building
InstalSystem 5 includes module for heat demand calculations. Thermal calculations are made with the use of modeled building structure and according to heat loss standards e.g. EN
Based on the results, central heating installation can be designed and optimized.

20. Attractive presentation of partner’s products
Product pictures and descriptions can be presented in many places of program interface. They can be also printed as a documentation for the project.

21. HelpSystem - on-line, multimedia support tool
HelpSystem guides how to design requested type of installation, describes program most interesting functions and typical problems. Due to used web technology, this platform can be continuously developed and updated. Documentation includes various additional files: screenshots, videos, project files, printouts from the software and others.
