2 web sites with correct information in MLA format 1 Book or periodical (published hard copy) List the information like below Author’s last name, First name. “Title of the article”. Web site ending with a (.com, .gov, .edu, or .org). Publisher. Year site was started Medium (doing web only for now). Date YOU accessed site. Examples Web: “9/11 Attacks”. Paragraph 1 – Introduction with THESIS= Thesis (9pts) – Answers question about: “What influenced your Poet’s work” Complete introduction with hook & background (explains your Poet briefly and that your are examining their life) (4pts) Paragraph 2 & 3 (body)= Include citations in essay at end of summaries (2pts) Paragraph 2 (5pts) Summary of childhood, early experiences, and personal experiences not very related to work Paragraph 3 (5pts) Summary of adult-life experiences relating more to work and achievements. What awards did he/she win? What poems or works were they known for? Paragraph 4 (body) = Discuss what influence their writing or poetry 2 quotes from your sources (4pts) 2 comments for each quote (4pts) Inference – Analyze facts and suggest an insight or a claim that is arguable (6pts) Work Cited (6pts) & MLA (5pts)= MUST BE TYPED
