Creating a safe environment together
National government Municipalities (the mayor) National Police Public Prosecution Service And also: Social partners (schools, housing associations) Private companies, and most important: all citizens Safety problems are often complex and can only be handled with an integrated approach Prevention is the responsibility of all of us. I think this is the basic assumption under the dutch organization of safety: It means that safety is not only a responsibility of the government (municipalities, National Police, Public Proscecution Service) but also the responsibility of social partners like the schools, housing companies, sports organizations, private companies and citizens.) Safety, healthcare and education are quality of life issues and therefore important.
