Humans can contract the disease by coming into contact with sick birds Also is airborne Symptoms can be cough, fever, sore throat, headaches, symptoms of the common flu There are less then 1,000 cases a year in the united states Mortality rate is high ( 453/859 people have died since 2003) Description Statistics Also known as Bird flu Is caused by different virus strains of flu Humans can contract the disease by coming into contact with sick birds Also is airborne Symptoms can be cough, fever, sore throat, headaches, symptoms of the common flu The disease can be very deadly if not treated immediately
