2. Prometheus
Prometheus was a Titan that fought in war against the Olympians(Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Ares, Aphrodite, Hephaestus, Hermes, and Dionysus.), along side his brothers Epimetheus, Menoetius, and Atlas. He was known for his cleverness and his ability to trick people. However he switched sides to the Olympians later.

3. Olympians Zeus: king of all gods Hera: wife of Zeus
Poseidon: god of the sea and a brother of Zeus.
Athena: Goddess of wisdom
Apollo: the son god
Artemis: goddess of the hunt
Ares: god of war
Aphrodite: goddess of beauty
Hephaestus: god of the forge
Hermes: messenger of the gods
Dionysus: God of the wine
Demeter: goddess of the harvest

4. Tartarus
During the Titanomachy, a war between the Olympians and the Titans Prometheus and his brothers were captured. They were held in the Tartarus, a dungeon holder for prisoners below near Hades and the underworld

5. Zeus, the god of the sky and father of all gods gave Prometheus and his brother Epimetheus the task of making humans. He decided to shape them out of clay. Prometheus then ordered Epimetheus to give man his qualities: swiftness, strength, fur, and wings. However by the time Epimetheus had gotten to man, he had run out of qualities to give. Having heard this, Prometheus decided to make man stand upright and to give them fire as a gift.
Man!!!

6. Prometheus decided to trick Zeus when he said each man must present a portion of each animal as a sacrifice. An animal had to be sacrificed to the gods in this order.
Mu Hahahahah!!!

7. The Plan
OK, I want this one
Go ahead Zeus pick one.
Prometheus filled one bag with bones and juicy fat and the other with the real meat hidden inside. Once Zeus chose the bag with bones and fat he was enraged at Prometheus for giving such unworthy sacrifice.

8. Since he had his word, Zeus had to keep the offering as his own
Since he had his word, Zeus had to keep the offering as his own. Zeus was enraged by this, so he took fire away from man.
I see how it is, I goch you Prometheus!!!

9. Return of fire
None of the Olympians loved man as much as Prometheus so he lit a torch from the sun and gave fire back to man. However, having heard this, Zeus was not very happy.

10. Zeus decided to set a terrible punishment for both mankind and Prometheus!!!

11. He called upon Hephaestus, the god of artisans, volcanoes, sculptures, fire, blacksmith and technology to create a mortal of great beauty. He also had Hermes the messenger of the gods to give it qualities like a lying tongue and a deceptive heart.

12. This figure of beauty was called Pandora!!!

13. The punishment
Zeus sent Pandora down to Epimetheus who was remaining amongst the humans. He also gave Pandora a jar that she was not allowed to open. Prometheus however had told Epimetheus to not accept gifts from Zeus at all!!! Pandora then, growing curious about the jar she had been forbidden to open, loosened the jar and out busted a variety of troubles. These included evil, sorrows, plagues, misfortune.

14. However one fortune was left at the bottom of the jar…
Hope!!!

15. Zeus and his rage
Zeus was angry at Prometheus for 3 particular reasons.
Trickery of the sacrifice
Giving fire to man
Not telling Zeus which one of his children would over throw him

16. Zeus then has his servants take and chain Prometheus to Caucasus, a mountain between the Black sea and the Caspian sea. He was fettered down to this mountain with unbreakable chains. Every night he was tortured by a massive eagle which would eat his liver. Some versions say that his liver would grow back every day so his torture would never stop.

17. The way out
Zeus would let Prometheus escape his misery if he were to tell him who would overthrow him or he would have two choices:
An immortal had to die for him
A mortal had to risk his or her life to kill the eagle and save his life

18. His tortures went on, until one day Hercules, one of Zeus’s moral sons that acquired great strength, came along and shot the eagle with an arrow and at last freed Prometheus.
