Display the Clip Art task pane. Click the Clip art on Office Online hyperlink. Type the desired search topic and then click the Go button. Click the check box at the bottom of each image and then click the Download hyperlink. Click the Download Now button to initiate the download. The Microsoft Clip Organizer displays. 14 Choosing Scanner and Digital Camera File Formats
Bitmapped graphics use individual pixels of color that can be edited one by one or as a group. Pixel: Short for picture element, a pixel is each individual dot or square of color in a picture or bitmapped graphic. Bitmapped graphics can be edited in any software program that includes the words paint or photo in its name. Raster graphics: Images made up of dots of black, white, or another color. 41 Matching Colors Match a color from an image used in your document to your font color to make your document look more professional. To match colors: Ungroup the clip art image. Select a segment that contains the color. Write down the values for RGB or HSL. Use the same values to color your fonts and/or other drawing objects. RGB: Stands for the colors Red, Green, and Blue. 69 DTP Pointers Consider your audience when choosing type sizes.
Prepare a thumbnail sketch. The upper left corner is usually read first. Use the 1/3, 2/3 Rule which states that at least 1/3 of your document should be white space. White space creates a clean page that is easy to read. With text-intensive material, vary type sizes and styles. Use various shades of black and white as well as color.
