2 Lobotomy Lobotomy, also known as leucotomy, is a neurosurgical operation that involves severing connections in the brain's prefrontal lobe, widely performed for more than two decades as treatment for schizophrenia, manic depression and bipolar disorder, among other mental illnesses.

3 A topic that fascinates historians is the rise of dictators in twentieth century Europe. What factors led to their acceptance and also their downfall? In your “Medical Examiner’s Notes” you’ll explain on the various “causes of concern” of your “individual.”

Name the individual and the diagnosis on the poster (BE CREATIVE) What was the dictator’s message and why was it appealing to the people? What weaknesses were embedded in the dictator? What led to their demise? Internal and external characteristics. Internal – motivators, emotional state, memories External – presentation, friendships, physical traits
