A+ Schools Program Monroe City High School has been designated an A+ School since the Spring of 2011

A+ Award Students who…. have met all the A+ Schools Program requirements are eligible to receive two years of tuition and general fees to attend any Missouri public community, vocational, or technical college.

Student Requirements Attend an A+ designated high school for 3 consecutive years prior to graduation Graduate with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 or better on a 4.0 scale for the four-year period Average 95% attendance during four years of high school Perform 50 hours of unpaid school based tutoring/mentoring Maintain a record of good citizenship and avoidance of the unlawful use of drugs & alcohol and avoid the use of tobacco products Beginning with the high school senior class of 2015, students must achieve a score of proficient or advanced on the Algebra 1 end of course exam or a combined ACT math score and high school GPA. File a FAFSA form during your senior year by the State of Missouri deadline (currently April 1st)

Discuss the A+ Program with your child Impress the importance of meeting the A+ student eligibility requirements Discuss the A+ Agreement Form Review your child’s eligibility status periodically throughout their HS career

Availability of Funds Availability of funds is contingent upon funding by the state of Missouri. This financial incentive is conditional upon Monroe City R-I Schools achieving and maintaining A+ status. Tuition reimbursement is not the responsibility of Monroe City R-I Schools.
