In real life situations sometimes the domain and range are restricted so that the graph represents the real problem. Example: A construction worker throws a tape measure from the top of a building to the ground. The height of the tape measure after t seconds is given by the function: What is the domain and range of the function?

The height of the tape measure clearly has a maximum and minimum and the time that the function exists is limited to the time that it is in the air. Make a table of values to see if we can determine when the tape measure reaches the maximum height and when it hits the ground.
