VoIP . . . spring 2002. . . The NCAR NETS VoIP “Sandbox”
Initial test bed—basic setup and component interaction “Test deployment” – 40 IP phones, analog users/fax machines, variety of system and user configurations QOS enabled - 2 queues (data/voice)

NETS VoIP Materials IP Telephones (Cisco 7960, 7914 key modules, 7935 conf. phones) Cisco CallManager 3.2.2c (Cisco MCS7835) Cisco 3640 & 3660 routers (with various voice-related interfaces) Cisco Unity 3.1 (MCS7847)

VoIP now. . . New NCAR site deployed using VoIP technology - users added using Bulk Administration Tool (BAT) 3rd Party Authorization Application - charge number verification before call is placed WS-X6624 FXS blade for analog DHCP addresses by campus

. . . and the end of 2003 NCAR full deployment - design complete - equipment on order Cisco 6500 switches - redundant Sup 2 w/ PFC2s - redundant power - all 6348 powered cards
