1. Urinary, Nervous, Immune, Endocrine, and related systems

2. Urinary System
Definition- The urinary system is an organ system that creates, stores, and carries urine.
There are 5 organs in the urinary system and they all work together to create, store and carry urine.
Your body takes what it needs from the food and then the urinary system creates urine from what's left of the food.
The kidneys take away urea, a chemical left in food that has protein.
The kidney is the most important excretory organ in the body, this means it takes waste out, like urea.

3. Nervous System
Central Nervous System- It consists of the brain, and spinal cord. The brain is located and protected by the skull. The spinal cord is located and protected by the spine.
Brain- The adult brain contains nearly 100 billion nerve cells called neurons. The brain controls many behaviors such as walking and thinking. Every area of the brain has a specific function. Every different function is important.

4. Nervous System
Spine/spinal cord- The spinal cord is the pathway for information from the brain. The spinal cord is protected by the vertebrae. Your spinal cord also helps you stand up straight.

5. Immune System The immune system defends the body.
Your body relies on the immune system when foreign materials (such as germs) manage to get past the first line of defense.
White blood cells help fight germs.
Leukocytes is another name for a white blood cell.
Getting immunization (shots) when you are young helps your immune system fight off disease.

6. Immune System This system functions in many different ways:
Tissues in the bone marrow, the thymus gland, the spleen, and the lymph nodes produce white blood cells, which are specialized cells hat function to destroy foreign organisms.
Some white blood cells produce a nonspecific response to injury or infection.
Some white blood cells produce proteins called antibodies, which are part of a specific immune response to foreign materials.

7. Endocrine System
Definition- The endocrine system is a collection of glands that secrete hormones directly into the circulatory system.
Definition- Glands are small organs located all around the body that secrete hormones.
This system consists of ten glands that all work together to carry hormones toward targets.
Hormones can consist of either amino acids complexes or prostaglandins.
The endocrine system is similar to the exocrine system which takes those hormones and transports them to the outside of the body using ducts.
