Paradigm Controls acquired. Adds operator panels that connect to multiple devices via serial and Ethernet connections to monitor and control operations. Operator Panels 2012 Visual Management ProducTVity Station introduced. Offers a ready-to-deploy visual management system that seamlessly displays real-time KPI data and Andon messages on large TVs. 1972 Sensors First product. Magnetic pickup for measuring rate at which a shaft turns. The pickup was fed to a third-party device to display. 2010 Ethernet Switches N-Tron acquired. Adds industrial Ethernet switches to provide integrated solutions that reach from the enterprise network to devices on the shop floor. 1976 Counters & Meters Counters and panel meters introduced. Gives customers a complete solution to monitor and display data within a plant or process. 2004 Protocol Conversion Data Station Plus introduced Supports over “ industrial protocols to connect disparate devices on wired or wireless networks. 2011 Layer 3 & Cellular M2M Sixnet acquired. Expands industrial Ethernet switch offering as well as adds cellular M2M and remote telemetry units that control and monitor complex processes in extreme locations. 2013 Rugged Modular HMIs Graphite® advanced operator panels introduced. Marks industry’s first rugged HMIs to combine plug-in modules with built-in protocol conversion, data logging and web-based monitoring. Copyright © Red Lion Controls Inc.

Red Lion Mission “To be recognized as the global experts in communication, monitoring and control for industrial automation and networking.” This is a journey, and not yet a destination. Global recognition is a high standard, but we believe we can do it. With the core Red Lion product, we already demonstrated our mastery of communications. N-Tron and Sixnet have moved us close to our goal, and you all will move along further. © Red Lion Controls Inc.

Customer Value “We enable customers to maximize their productivity, efficiency and profitability.” “We do this by giving customers the ability to connect, monitor and control anything. From one device to a thousand devices. Connecting serially, via Ethernet, or over high-speed wireless networks. Speaking one protocol, or hundreds of protocols. On a single machine, across their factory, or spanning multiple sites all over the globe.” So what is Red Lion all about? In the end, it’s about productivity, efficiency and profitability. And we deliver this by allowing people to connect, monitor and control ANYTHING. Our HMIs, protocol converters etc. have always been differentiated by their ability to talk to multiple devices at once. And we can do this via serial connections, Ethernet, field buses, Wi-Fi, cellular or good old fashioned analog inputs. We talk literally hundreds of protocols. And we add more every month. We first did this because we had no choice, but now it’s a key part of who we are and what we do. And our devices to each other and to the Internet, spanning machines, factories and the entire globe. © Red Lion Controls Inc.

Applications: Factory Automation
FOOD & BEVERAGE NETWORK Factory Automation The PAX2A provides local operator information and alarm outputs. By leveraging its multiple-protocol capability, the G3 HMI provides a single intuitive operator interface for the various PLCs, drives and other connected components regardless of the manufacturer. The standard Ethernet port of the G3 is connected to the machine-level devices via the 7010TX Ethernet switch, while its secondary Ethernet port is used to connect to the enterprise-level network via a 702W wireless Ethernet radio. The G3’s built in webserver allows operators to monitor the process remotely via mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. © Red Lion Controls Inc.

Applications: Remote Communication
WATER & WASTEWATER NETWORK Remote Communication The VersaTRAK RTU performs monitoring and control of the generator engine and back-up power supply. The G3 HMI acts a local operator interface for the RTU and pressure meters, and sends alarm notifications via and text message. The RAM provides cellular connectivity, and also aggregates the data from the various Modbus devices, allowing the entire system to appear as a single Modbus device to the SCADA system. The SLX managed switch provides a reliable Ethernet backbone for the application. © Red Lion Controls Inc.
