Why did British colonists come to America? What challenges did they face? How did the colonies succeed? What were negative consequences? How did southern and northern colonial regions differ?

Go over closure from yesterday- Jamestown and Plymouth 3 colonial regions- concept sort, notes Colonial geography- start map activity, to finish on Monday….

13 What do the stories of Jamestown and Plymouth have in common
What do the stories of Jamestown and Plymouth have in common? What is different about them? These first settlers begin a society/ culture that becomes “American”. List five specific character traits and/or adjectives that would describe these first settlers. Can any of these descriptors be used to describe what it means to be “American” today? Are they positive, negative, or both?

Try to put the appropriate descriptions into the chart If finished and pretty certain you’re correct, feel free to start filling in- we will be going over together….
